Beverly Jane Phillips is a retired Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (USA), an activist on issues of hunger and poverty, a Christian feminist theologian, and Bible teacher. Her paid ministry was lived out first in the position of Hunger Action Enabler for the Presbytery of Chicago and then as a regional organizer for Bread for the World in Illinois, Indiana and Missouri. In retirement she has written two books: Learning a New Language, Speech About Women and God and From Heaven to My Heart, God’s Journey with Me. She lives in Gilbert, Arizona with her husband, also a retired Presbyterian minister. They have two adult children, a son-in-law and a wonderful granddaughter.
